Birthday Blog November 16

Beautiful sunny day; I started out with a swim in a beautiful plant-lined indoor saltwater pool around 6:30; now I'm waiting for my breakfast date to get here and we'll go off down the street to the Mac Callum House hotel for breakfast!  Then a great massage, followed by time for a small painting!  At 3 I'll have a horoscope reading to see what next year will bring; then a dinner birthday party with friends tonight!  Altogether, a fantastic day planned.  Best so far are all the birthday wishes on Facebook!  I feel liked!  hahaha!  Thanks, everybody!

4 days away in October

O thrill!  Well, for me it is.  I left Mendocino around 2:00 yesterday (Sunday) and made it to SF and my friend Jane's around 6.  Traffic wasn't too bad except for Rohnert Park where there is much road construction.  I set the rv refer on 12v and it's working fine!

Jane and I watched a hilarious movie last night, The Couch Trip.  Dan Akroyd and Walter Matthau.  and then Toodles spent the night on my guest-room bed!  I'm off to Santa Cruz in a little while and will entertain my reader with more inspired thoughts sometime later!  :0)

Friday in Mendocino

Indian Summer.  Beautiful and warm.  It's nice to see stars/moon at night.  I'm heading to Santa Cruz on Sunday for a few days.  Thought that made more sense than taking a pen/ink/watercolor class since I teach just that already 4 days a week (when i have students!!!).  Big reception tomorrow night at the art center for the MEA Mendocino Eco Artists.  I do hope people show up and buy art!!!

Testing testing testing

My first post for my first blog.  I'm watching the sky over Mendocino lighten as I lie here on my bunk putting random thoughts into this blog.  This is a first for me, and I see I'll need to clip my index fingernails (tools) to increase my typing speed to something approaching 100 wpm.

Today I get new tires for my rv.  Maybe tonight I'll go sleep out on the headlands somewhere.  I hope to paint at Jughandle today with some of the other Plein Air painters, since today is our regular paintout day.

Here's Jughandle last Wednesday when I was hiking with the FogDodgers.

Sales area really slow in the gallery, so I'm desperately trying to reinvent my life, maybe get into some galleries in populated areas like Sausalito and Carmel, and figure out what to do with the next part of my life.

This is one of my pastels of Chapman Point, looking from the eastern shore near Hwy 1.  I love this shot.  It's such a beautiful place.
