Friday night in West End Roatan

While Friday night usually represents the end of a week of work, or pau hana in Hawaiian, here in Roatan not everyone gets to party

Some people have to cook for others, although these chefs seem to be enjoying their tasks while xhatting with local folk...

And other people keep on working into the night like these blokes working on a building.

When we returned to our condo relatively early, about 10:30, we found other workers toiling away on our front steps.

Leaf-cutter ants were clearing away a pile of leaf scraps left by the gardeners earlier in the day.  Fascinating little critters to add to our growing list of sightings, including iguana, nutria, and sloth!
